I created this website after receiving numerous requests for copies of my radio interview with Georgene Rice and my tour talk in July of 2008.
It was a privilege to tour with Jodi Penner and her team for three weeks in Washington, Oregon and California as they performed concerts and shared songs from her new album “Tree in a Storm” dedicated to the memory of Scott. God ministered to me deeply as I shared with others of His goodness and faithfulness to me in the midst of deep pain and grief.
One of my prayers has been, “Lord, in some way please bring Yourself glory through the circumstances of my life story and use me to bring hope to others who are in the midst of their own pain and grief.”
A transitional home for women and children was opened on May 16, 2010 in Beaverton, Oregon and dedicated in memory of Scott. The Scott Mitchell House has 10 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms and will be able to house 10 women (and their children) who are recovering from addiction issues.
We would appreciate your prayer support for this new ministry and if God places it on your heart to give, there is a way to contribute financially as well. It has been exciting to see God open this home up and I eagerly look forward to seeing how He brings healing and restoration to lives that have been devastated by addictions.
Thank you so much for your prayer support and words of encouragement! When the Lord brings our family to mind, please continue praying for His will to be accomplished in and through us and that He will have all the glory.
With much love and gratitude to the good God we serve,
Connie Lou Mitchell
